Encouraging, motivating, practical

“As I licensed clinical social worker I am a fan of self help books for myself, my family and my clients and am always on the hunt for new approaches for self improvement. I believe I have found a gem with this book. The author is professional yet personable and relatable. . She offers a very practical, step by step guide for change in a very motivating a friendly manner. The author shares her own struggles and successes as examples throughout the book which is a useful strategy to make the reader feel motivated, supported and hopeful. I particularly appreciated the worksheets included in the book which are used to guide the reader through the change process. I will certainly utilize the strategies suggested in this book for my own personal growth and will recommend it to others as well.”

This is a self-help book that will actually ‘help’!

“There’s no shortage of self-help books, several of which I have read, only to become immobilized by how much work there is to be done on myself! That’s why ‘It Is What It Is…’ really appeals to me. It’s short, an easy read, to the point, and broken down into measurable steps. I appreciate the author shares her own examples which is helping to guide me as to how to apply the steps. It occurred to me while reading the book that I can strive to be the person I WANT to be, even if it’s not yet who I am. In other words, an image of the fit, healthy and attractive woman I want to define myself as, will help me to get there by mimicking the actions of someone who already is there.”

For those of you reading this review and are happy with your life as it is, then stop reading NOW.

“For those of you reading this review and are happy with your life as it is, then stop reading NOW. If you are one of those people who has gotten to this place and time feeling that your life should be better and are ready to change your life then this book is for you. I was that person and wish I could have had Kathleen’s book 45 years ago. You see, I was a Human Doing rather than a Human Being. I was Doing as I was told what to do. Dad said, “Gerry you should be good at math.” I became good at math. Dad said, “You should study to be an engineer.” I was an engineer for 20 years often thinking that the word work belong with those other four-letter words…the ones that start with “f” and “s.” Kathleen’s book will allow you to become a Human Being when you choose to follow the simple exercises in the book. You will now be free to make your own decisions so as to create the life you want. Rather than others telling what is good for you the choice will be yours. If you are a dreamer of how life can be better then this book will show you how to make those dreams reality. There was a time that my life was in a place that needed an agent for change. Had It Is What It Is … Now What?! been available then it would have changed my life for the better. I would have become a Human Being 45 years sooner.”

This book “cuts to the chase with simple and direct tools for transformation!”

“It is What It Is . . . Now What?! speaks to the heroic in the reader. In minutes you know you better summon some courage, expect some hard work, and do a bit of soul searching. The multitude of successful examples and meaty workbook tell you, almost immediately, if you aren’t successful at whatever your heart’s desire after reading and applying what you learn, then YOU must be responsible for your choices. She gives you a map that enables you to realize your dream, she talks back to your inner naysayers, and suggests videos, books, mentors, places, and ideas that all support you. The book asks you to introvert and then mine your own inner gold. It helps flush out obstacles and then plan the necessary action. I love the quote, ‘if opportunity doesn’t knock, create a door!’ She cuts to the chase with simple and direct tools for transformation. I met Kathleen in Toastmasters meetings before she made all her personal changes and I must say she is a living testament to the importance and success one may find if the principles and practices she discusses are applied. When you finish you know who you are, where you are going, and what to do to make it happen! Thank you Kathleen!”
